Details are still light at this point as the investigation continues, but RCMP say one man is dead after a fatal collision.

According to officials, they responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision on Highway 1 near the Grand Coulee access. The lone male driver was pronounced deceased shortly after first responders arrived. No name has been released; however, they have confirmed that it was a 45-year-old man from Regina.

A collision analyst and White Butte RCMP are still on the scene trying to determine a cause, although they said unfavorable road conditions could have been a factor.

Officers are asking all motorists traveling on Highway 1 to slow down when passing emergency crews who are still trying to gather evidence and process the area.

They're also urging anyone who is planning to hit the road to check the current road report first.
