This weekend the Saskatchewan RCMP are going to be quite noticeable.

Partnering with SGI, the RCMP will be out on roadways this Saturday and Sunday participating in an initiative called H-V-E or High Visibility Enforcement. Officers will be set up in areas that see a large number of vehicles as well as remote roadways, checking for sober drivers, a general safety overview and vehicle standards.

RCMP will be on alert this weekend looking for numerous issues or unsafe driving habits, but they will also be keeping in mind the 'big 4' impaired driving, occupant restraint use, aggressive driving and distracted driving.

Officers will be out at all hours each day so they're asking all drivers to slow to 60 km/h when passing emergency vehicles on the highway.
