Moose Jaw and area has been quite spoiled with sunshine over the past month, however, a bit of moisture is moving in to rain on that parade.

The forecast indicates that a wet system is expected to reach the notorious city by Friday but it won't be dumping a large amount of Moisture according to Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, Sara Hoffman.

"Friday morning a low-pressure system will form in Alberta, and we don't really have good agreement on exactly where, when or how strong that low-pressure system will be at this time. The models are sort of out of sync on that but they all do indicate this low-pressure system forming. It looks to be the cold front associated with it will bring showers to the Moose Jaw area," explained Hoffman. "It will be sort of showery-heavy air pockets of rain type of thing so there will be some variability to how much precipitation every place gets in the area, but we're saying around the five to ten-millimetre range."

Hoffman said it gets a little difficult to determine if this will be the only rainfall Moose Jaw and area can expect to see over the next little while, but for right now we're in the clear after this weekend.

"At this point, it looks to be the only sort of precipitation for the next little while but our models decrease in accuracy the further out they go so it's tough for me to say seven days out exactly what the weather will look like but for the next few days here it does look to be the only appreciatable amount of precipitation."
