The rain this week has been at least a little helpful when it comes to the dry conditions.

While not enough to replenish the soil, it's enough for the province to call off the fire bans.

The moisture and cooler conditions combined prompted the change on Wednesday for all provincial Crown land south of the Churchill River to have the ban lifted.

The ban has been in place since the start of August, and while provincial bans are now gone, there is still a campfire restriction in Cypress Hills Inter-provincial Park and the Cypress Lake Recreation Site, as extreme dry conditions remain.
