The provincial government is looking to residents for input on the future of Saskatchewan’s education.

The Ministry of Education, together with it’s education partners, will come together to create a framework that will be the basis for a provincial education plan and set a course for education beyond 2020.

Gordon Wyant, Deputy Premier and Education Minister, stated, “We want to hear from students, parents, educators and school staff to better understand what they want for the future of education”.

The engagement process started in October of 2018 and as the sessions continue, opportunities will be made available through the school divisions for students and parents to participate in-person.

Additionally, an online survey will also be available to obtain feedback from Saskatchewan residents on the matter and is available here.

The feedback provided will play a role in developing the provincial education plan, which will build off the Education Sector Strategic Plan that was created in 2014.

The online survey will remain open until May 10, 2019.
