Premier Scott Moe and Provincial Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab held a press conference on Monday to announce that proof of vaccination records will be available to residents.

The province also announced plans for booster shots for immunocompromised residents.

While it is not mandatory, some businesses, municipalities, venues and event organizers can ask for proof of vaccination to host or attend events or access services. Most recently, the Saskatchewan Roughriders announced that they will require proof of vaccination for fans.

The documentation necessary is now available to residents through a one-page printable form from your personal MySaskHealthRecord acount at eHealth Saskatchewan.

The government is also working to include a digital QR code to the MSHR vaccination records, which is expected to be available this fall.

The government also announced that booster vaccination shot will be available to immunocompromised residents beginning Sept. 7. The booster must be eight weeks after the second dose.

The eligible for the booster include:

  • Residents of long-term care and personal care homes.
  • Transplants recipients (including solid organ transplant and hematopoietic stem cell transplants).
  • Recipients of stable, active treatment (chemotherapy, targeted therapies, immunotherapy) for malignant hematologic disorders.
  • Recipients of an anti-CD20 agent (e.g. rituximab, ocrelizumab, ofatumumab).
