The gala will be held this Saturday and is completely sold out.

Crystal Froese, Membership Chair of the Business Women of Moose Jaw, said there is a special guest speaker lined up for this year's event.

"We have a new guest speaker this year, Marlene Shillingford, who is the Chief Warrant Officer out at 15 Wing Moose Jaw. She's actually one of the first Crew Chiefs for the Snowbirds. She's going to be speaking at the PRISM awards and we're really looking forward to hearing her story."

This year's gala has a record 36 nominees up for the seven different awards. The awards up for grabs are Perseverance, Role model, Influential, Successful, Mentor, as well as Youth and Lifetime Achievement.

Froese says an event like this couldn't happen without the support of the community.

"As always I just really want to thank our wonderful city and community. They're so generous and supporting of this event, donating items, buying tickets, coming out to celebrate all of the incredible women we have in our city, and of course, supporting the Moose Jaw Transition House. We really have a generous generous city."

The theme for the night will be 'The Roaring 20's', and will feature menu items created by the culinary students of Sask Polytechnic.
