Marijuana is illegal in Canada. Until Wednesday anyway.

Saskatchewan's provincial government voiced a lot of displeasure about how quickly the federal government was pushing through legalization, but now Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe says the province has done what it can to prepare.

"I think we're as ready as we possibly can be. This is an initiative that was put forward by the federal government and the provinces were asked to put regulations in place that would be necessary, and municipalities as well have been taking appropriate measures as well as we move into this all at the bequest and the initiative of the federal government."

Moe added that the province would be monitoring how legalization unfolds in the coming weeks and months.
