Saskatchewan is gearing up for a legal battle with Ottawa.  Premier Scott Moe says the federal Liberals have introduced surprise legislation that will impose a carbon tax on the province. Moe says there was no advanced notice and he has no details on what the legislation says but lawyers are going to get involved.

Starting with Brad Wall and now Moe, the Saskatchewan Party government has long threatened a court battle of the carbon tax after refusing to sign the federal Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change.

Saying they have a strong legal case, neither Premier has actually said released full details how they plan to defend their stance against the partnership.
