The Prairie Skies Integration Network, which works under the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council, is looking for newcomer volunteers to help the organization.

Prairie Skies started in 2018 and is a non-profit partner organization, which means their leadership and guidance come from several different organizations. They also work with local sectors like education, health, the Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Moose Jaw.

Project Manager, Dalise Hector.

"We're here to work together to make our region increasingly welcoming to newcomers, and to really be able to strengthen our communities as well through all the different strengths that are brought by the newcomers who are making our region their home."

The organization is looking for newcomer volunteers from anywhere within 150km of Moose Jaw. Hector explains what the volunteers are for.

"Hearing about their experiences and picking their brains to really understand what it's like to be a newcomer. We want to understand what it's like so that we can provide that feedback to our guiding body and our other partners so that they can adapt the way things are being done so it can be more inclusive to those who are newer."
