People driving on the far edge of South Hill may notice a disruption to their daily routines this week.

Pavement rehabilitation work is set to begin Thursday morning, and the stretch of road between 7th and 9th Avenues on Valley View Road will be blocked off.

Once the rehabilitation phase is complete, crews are scheduled to start asphalt installation on Tuesday.

The City is asking residents in the area to remove their vehicles from the road and front driveways while the work is getting done. They're also asking home owners to refrain from watering their lawns until next Friday, while work is ongoing.

The roadway will be reopened on Friday evening at 6 pm this week, until the asphalt work commences on Tuesday.
