As you drive down Mainstreet today, be aware that there is some more road work you'll have to look out for.

Northbound lanes on Mainstreet between Hall and Saskatchewan Street will be temporarily closed Friday, while southbound lanes in that area will be restricted down to one lane.

The work was supposed to be done on Wednesday but had to be delayed. Crews will be in the area fixing a residential water leak, and the work should be all wrapped up by the end of the day.

As always, drivers are asked to use caution and obey all signage while in the area.

That's not the only thing to watch out for on Mainstreet either, as blockades are still up on the southbound inside lane of Mainstreet North, which has blocked off right in between Canadian Tire and the Civic Centre plaza. However, there hasn't exactly been a lot of work happening in the area yet.

The lane had to be blocked off for safety reasons, as the city coordinates the work with CN. There is no timeline yet as to when that work is expected to be completed.
