There was a disruption to traffic Wednesday morning on the south side if the city due to an accident.

According to the Moose Jaw Police Service a vehicle struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Lillooet Street and 9th Avenue South West. First responders arrived shortly after the incident took place around 10:30 am, including police, the Moose Jaw Fire Department and paramedics.  

The victim was transported to hospital by the Moose Jaw and District EMS and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
