Canada Day is around the corner, and once again Park Art will be a popular part of it.

Ross Melanson, operations manager at the Moose Jaw museum and art gallery, said that it's one of the longest running fundraisers.

“Park Art is a craft fair with a whole bunch of craftspeople that make various items. It’s our largest fundraiser we have and it’s one of our longest running fundraisers,” Melanson said.

He said that between 75-80 booths of all different kinds of art will be at Crescent Park outside in front of the gallery for people wanting to purchase the art.

“That’s the great thing about this, is it’s a chance for you to do some shopping and pick up some handcrafted items from Canada, mostly Saskatchewan,” Melanson said.

He said there isn't just one kind of art available to buy.

“There are all kinds of things, actually,” he said. “We have paintings, sketches, yard ornaments, jewellery, pottery, hand-painted clothing, cedar boxes and other things for succulent plants. Crocheted finger puppets, fabric landscapes and photography, a whole bunch of stuff.”

Park Art is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
