With the Moose Jaw Mayoral byelection taking place Wednesday, there were strong numbers for the four days of advance polls last week.

There were three days of polling at the Cosmo Senior Centre with 556 voters on Tuesday, 595 voters on Wednesday and 480 voters on Thursday.

A final advance poll was held at city hall on Saturday that brought out 380 voters for a grand total of 2,011 voters taking part in the advance polls.

Of note, according to Statistics Canada Moose Jaw 18-plus population is 26,660, meaning that 7.5 per cent of eligible voters voted in last week's advance polls.

Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with polling stations at the Moose Jaw Exhibition Grounds Convention Centre, Church of Our Lady, Cosmo Senior Centre and Minto United Church.
