OUTdoor Exploration is a group that brings together kids from all over Moose Jaw, for unique experiences.

They do everything from hiking through the woods, to indoor paintball, and it brings together youth from grades 7 to 12 throughout the city for social entertainment.

Once registered, kids can go to every event they have planned, including their wrap up party.

Put together and held by Moose Jaw Pride, Joe Wickenhauser of Pride said it's free for all kids to attend the events.

"For example paintball is happening. Not everyone has had the opportunity to do that. It is cost prohibitive for some people. So for us to have funding through the community initiatives fund to make it free to youth really makes it a worthwhile program."

The group meets twice each week for about 3 to 4 hours, and there's no obligation to attend every event.

The wrap up party takes place on Friday August 23rd, from 5 PM to 7 PM at Wakamow Kiwanis Pavilion, and includes music, food, and more.

"In Wakamow we'll have a barbecue. Just as a way to celebrate the program and the accomplishments. And to give youth a chance to celebrate with their parents that they were part of it and learned to do different things."

The events still to come are as follows:
Thursday August 8 – Paintball, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm at Rainbow Retro
Tuesday August 13 – Mosaic Community Food Farm, 12:30 pm – 3:30 pm at Rainbow Retro
