There was only one new case of COVID-19 reported in the province on Monday, from the Far North Region.

Five people remain in hospital and there were 18 new recoveries, bringing the total recoveries to 679.

Eighty-seven cases are considered active.

Of the five patients in the hospital, three are in the north, one is in Saskatoon and one is in the south.  There are no COVID-19 patients currently in the ICU.

To date, 65,496 COVID‐19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan. 

That puts the province's per capita testing rate at 48,781 people tested per one million population.  After leading the nation during the first days of the pandemic, Saskatchewan numbers now fall well behind, with the national average being 71,209 people tested per one million population.

A reminder that testing is available to anyone currently working outside the home or anyone returning to work as part of the Re-Open Saskatchewan plan.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is also advising people who were at Sunnyside Bar in Emma Lake at certain times over the past weekend, to self-monitor for symptoms.

If you were there between 4 to 9 p.m. last Friday through Sunday, and if symptoms develop, please isolate immediately and contact 811.

Testing is also available to those being admitted to acute care for more than 24 hours as well as immunocompromised individuals and their health care providers.
