A 20-year old Central Butte man is dead following a mutli-vehicle collision.

RCMP say the two-vehicle collision occurred about 8:30 Tuesday morning when a westbound car collided with a northbound school bus approximately 15 km west of Central Butte at an intersection on the Old 19 Road.

Morse RCMP and emergency services from Central Butte responded to the accident, with the 20-year old driver, the lone occupant of the car, pronounced deceased at the scene.

Notification of next-of-kin has been completed, and the RCMP has advised they will not be releasing the name of the deceased.

The driver of the school bus and the six students who were passengers at the time were all checked out by EMS on scene and then released. Some sustained minor injuries.

Swift Current Traffic Reconstructionist Unit is assisting with the investigation.

Traffic was being re-directed as of Tuesday afternoon. Drivers in the area can expect delays and are asked to avoid the area.
