Moose Javians have always looked out for each other and this year has proved that more than ever.

The annual Moose Jaw Toy Run is a prime example of the way our community gives back. This is the 32nd year that toy run has been bringing hope and joy to underprivileged kids. While this year's drive may look a little different, the spirit of the event will be the same.

Murrey Rooney, president of the Moose Jaw Cycling Association, explains what has had to change.

"We usually get 300 bikes meeting up on Manitoba St. and that's just too many people in one area. So, if people start riding up and down Main St. at 1:00 or 1:30 that would be great. Just cruise around for a bit and then end up at the Salvation Army Church sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 to drop off your toys."

While there will be no muster point this year, all motorcyclists are still encouraged to attend.

"We encourage anybody and everybody to come out and cruise Main St. Just as long as it's a licensed motorcycle. You can just tie a toy to your bike and have some fun. We really appreciate anyone who wants to get involved this year, especially with it being such a different year."

The Toy Run will begin at 1:00 pm on September 19. For more information on how you can get involved, call 306 693 6834.
