Some melting snow Tuesday and Wednesday, combined with fresh snow and rain will make streets a bit slick as we transition back into colder weather.

While many are celebrating the break from the arctic deepfreeze that we've been stuck in for over two weeks, forecasters are warning that it's only a short break. A system has already started to develop that will push colder air into our area for the weekend.

So for now, enjoy the above normal conditions because we should drop back into frigid conditions for the weekend with the extended forecast showing daytime highs ten degrees below normal for the new week.
