Moose Jaw will be getting a new spray park thanks to a huge grant in funding.

The Co-op Community Spaces Program is giving the East Side Community Association $120,000 to help build the "East End Spray Park," which will be available for everyone to use and be located near an accessible playground.

In the news release Jenny Gadd, Chairperson of the East Side Community Association, said "the East Side Community Association is so grateful to have been chosen as a grant recipient of the Co-op Community Spaces Program. We are beyond excited for construction to begin and to see all members of the community enjoy the brand new East End Spray Park for years to come."

This is the first time since 2015 Moose Jaw has received funding, as $54,000 made its way to the YMCA of Moose Jaw for their Early Years Play Space.

A total of $2 million was awarded this year to 24 organizations across Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba.
