A favourite local artist is back with new music.

Megan Nash has been pleasing crowds around Moose Jaw and southern Saskatchewan for quite some time. Known for her roots based songwriting and clear powerful voice, she is back with a new album called “Seeker”. It features eleven new songs that not only show off her ability, but also showcase the talents of the group Bears in Hazenmore. This is the first time Nash has collaborated with a band on an album.

The reason behind the blending of their talents is chronicled on Nash’s website.

“The first time we worked together at a music camp in Swift Current. My last album was bare bones – just voice and a guitar -so they took a couple of the songs and did their own arrangements for us to perform together. I was blown away by what they did so it just made sense to try and go further with it”.

Nash has been busy in 2017. She was a guest on CHAB’s Heartland at Noon with Rob Carnie and talked about the pace she’s been keeping.

“Last week I hit my hundredth show for this year and lots of those shows happened outside of Canada. I played Merle-Fest in North Carolina in April and i was touring overseas in September and I played in five different countries there. And we did a lot of touring in Canada as well. I was able to take the full band up to Yellowknife which was great to play their festival up there, Folk on the Rocks, it was awesome.

The first single from the new album is “Bad Poetry”.  The video from the song was filmed at Indian head.  You can see the video below and listen to the interview with Megan from the Heartland at Noon.
