The Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced that Derek Miller, who has been heading up the SHA’s COVID-19 response as the commander of the Emergency Operations Centre, will be stepping into the role of interim Chief Operating Officer. The announcement was made Friday. 

The role of COO has been vacant with the SHA since the retirement of Suann Laurent in November.  

Miller has also been serving as the vice-president of infrastructure, information and support, something he will continue to do in addition to the COO duties until the role is filled. 

It was also announced Friday Raynelle Wilson will be moving from the Ministry of Health to take on the role of vice-president of enterprise initiatives support with the SHA.
