A former Moose Jaw doctor that just missed out on becoming the new leader of the Saskatchewan NDP twice, is once again leading a battle against the man who beat him.

Ryan Meili is firing shots at Leader Cam Broten, saying the party is moving in the wrong direction as they prepare for the spring election campaign.  The NDP have withdrawn their promise of sharing resource revenues with First Nations, a promise that gained support from First Nations but was criticized at the same time.

The dropped promise is now showing some division in the party, something that has been questioned for the last six years.  In 2009, Meili lost his first leadership race to Dwain Lingenfelter by just 6% of the vote.  In 2013, he again lost by the narrowest of margins, this time by just 44 votes to Meili.
