Moose Jaw Wakamow and Moose Jaw North NDP held a town hall meeting on Wednesday hosted by Cathy Sproule – NDP MLA for Saskatoon Nutana.

Secretary Treasurer for the Wakamow NDP, Stacey Landin, explained why they decided to hold the meetings.

Cathy Sproule speaking in front of the crowd

"To talk about the spending decisions and some of the land deals made over the time of the Saskatchewan Government. I think it's important we do this here in Moose Jaw because people gathering and gathering information is always helpful, but it's always nice to have those personal conversations and it's nice to gather as a community to talk about it."

"The support was amazing. We had a full house at the Moose Jaw Union Centre last night. People are getting frustrated with cuts and spending choices by our current government and there are certainly a lot of people eagerly waiting for the next election."

If you weren't able to make it to the meeting on Wednesday, they will be holding another town hall meeting open to the public this upcoming weekend. All residents are allowed to attend, not just NDP members or supporters.

"On Sunday at 1:30 Trent Wotherspoon will be here to talk about the recently released Saskatchewan budget in the Public Library upstairs in the South Room. I think it's super important that we look at some of the things that are really easy to just adapt to and forget about the way choices are made for us by our provincial government."
