Vandalism plagued Moose Jaw residents Thursday night, as a string of windows being smashed in resulted in an estimated $2200 worth of damages.

The recent police reports shows 6 separate reports of people waking up to their smashed vehicle windows, some of which took place on the same street.

"We had six vehicles damaged," said Sgt. Taylor Mickleborough with the Moose Jaw Police Services. "It was either the driver side window or the windshield that was smashed out of these vehicles at various locations throughout the city, While our officers were attending to the complaints, we actually ended finding another one in the area when the officers were canvasing the are to check for additional damage."

The broken windows reports began to pour in at around 9 am on Friday, with the last report coming in at 1:25 pm. So far, police have confirmed there were no thefts involved in these cases.

0903hrs – 900 block Hall St W – Mischief – window smashed out of vehicle sometime overnight, $300 damage

1139hrs – 800 block 8th Av NW – Mischief – sometime between 11pm and 11:30am window was smashed out of vehicle, $300 damage

1141hrs – 1000 block 3rd Av NE – Mischief – sometime between 9:30pm and 11:40am window was smashed out of vehicle, $500 damage

1206hrs – 100 block 3rd Av NE – Mischief – window smashed out of vehicle sometime overnight, $100 damage

1325hrs – 1200 block warner St – Mischief – window smashed out of vehicle sometime overnight, $500 damage

Moose Jaw Police are encouraging the public to contact the police whenever they see or hear anything suspicious like this and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
