It's a way of travelling around the world in 3 days, without even leaving Moose Jaw.

Motif Multicultural Festival took place over the weekend, bringing food, drinks, art, entertainment and more from various cultures to Happy valley.

Brett Schwab, the festival's coordinator, said it's grown a lot over the years.
"Motif started as a 1 day indoor festival in 1974. Today, Motif Cultural Festival is a 3 day event in Moose Jaw's Happy Valley Park. This year featuring over 15 diverse cultural booths that provide a variety of food and entertainment for all ages."

The festival provides a platform to celebrate core Canadian values of diversity and multiculturalism in an energetic and festive outdoor environment, said Schwab.

Numerous cultures were brought to Moose Jaw, including a variety of food, music and performances.

One of the participants throughout the weekend was Rusheem Walker, who helped with the food at the Jamaican booth, and said it's a very welcoming event.
"It brings races together. Everybody feels welcome. Any race can just come and eat, chill out, listen to music. It's kind of a cool place to hang out."

Motif is a proven successful platform that celebrates diversity and multiculturalism in a family friendly festive outdoor environment.
