Another Alberta company is searching the Moose Jaw area for a large natural gas deposit that could make our region a very popular place in the years to come.

Another Alberta company is now drilling for shallow natural gas in the Moose Jaw area.

Fairsky Resources began operations this past summer when they did some seismic testing in Moose Jaw. You may remember the cords running from one side of the city to the other.

President Tim Kemp says they like what they saw. "The wells that we've drilled so far are very positive and we're very happy with what we are seeing both from a gas detection as we drill the wells as well as log analysis. We do different types of scientific data on the wells when we drill them and what we are seeing is very positive for going forward with more work.

Kemp says they currently have two wells just east of Moose Jaw, one 6 miles SW of the City, with their next wells being started a few miles north and then south of our city in the hopes of finding natural gas deposits.

PanTerra Resources, also from Alberta, has been working in the Moose Jaw area for about a year now and have drilled a total of 16 wells in the local region in their quest for natural gas deposits.
