Every year CAA does the worst roads campaign to see which roads need the most attention in Saskatchewan. Moose Jaw started out to an early lead in voting on the polls, and held on to three of the top ten worst roads in the province.

Spokesperson for CAA Christine Niemczyk says the focus of the poll has shifted over the past few years.

"The last five or six campaigns have certainly focused on Saskatchewan highways, but this year it's quite interesting because we are getting a number of residential roads being nominated in Moose Jaw its one of the three nominated worst roads in the province it doesn't surprise me but I think that's the benefit of the campaign is we are hearing from all road users."

The three roads to make the list are High Street West, 1st Avenue Southeast and 9th Avenue Northwest.

Niemczyk says while the campaign may be short-lived the conversation doesn't have to stop.

"Wether it's the ministry of highways or the municipal governments I'm sure when those roads are nominated and voted it's no surprise but it does have cause and effect the campaign is their once a year but anyone is welcome to talk to their local MLA or their city officials and say this road is a safety concern to me because."

Voting ended at midnight Monday morning and Moose Jaw ended with three roads in the top ten.
