One of Moose Jaws newest police service dogs had an eventful first day on the job.
According to the Moose Jaw Police Service, the 19-month old Slovakian-bred German shepherd - Argo - caught a suspect during his first shift back in January.
Argo and his handler Cst. Amiot responded to a call of an unwanted guest and discovered he was wanted on a warrant. After chasing and losing the suspect, Argo was able to track the man and apprehend him until officers could reach the scene.
Argo is one of 2 active police dogs within Moose Jaw.
