While the provincial government is permitting libraries and museums to re-open on June 29, the Moose Jaw Palliser Library says that they still need more time to prepare their safety measures before re-opening to the public.

Because so many books and materials pass between the hands of different staff and patrons, libraries pose a distinct challenge to safe prevention of the spread of Covid-19.

Employees are currently working to set up the necessary handwashing stations, social distancing measures, etc., and more information about when the library hopes to open will come in the following weeks.

For now, the Palliser Library continues to offer curb-side pick-up services by phone. Book returns are also now available and all late fines on books borrowed prior to March 16 are suspended until July 15th.
