Less than half a degree, that's how close we were to setting a record in Moose Jaw Tuesday. The heat wave saw the Friendly City climb to 33.6 degrees officially, but the old record was 33.9 from 1934. We did claim the title of provincial and Canadian hot spot.

23 records did fall in Saskatchewan including down in Assiniboia where they hit 32, breaking the old record of 28 from 2002.

Highs in the upper 20's are expected for Wednesday and that will lead to shower activity in the province with some raindrops are expected as early as Wednesday evening. More rain could fall with thunderstorm activity on Thursday and Friday but the sunshine should return for the weekend.
