The Moose Jaw Multicultural Council is gearing up to welcome several newcomer families to the city.

The Council is looking for a variety of different household items to help set up newcomers' homes, including furniture, electronics, kitchenware, linens and other miscellaneous items.

Community Connections Coordinator, Kayleigh Pousett, says the removal of public health orders has brought more clients to the city.

"With restrictions kind of easing up, we are receiving new clients who have been waiting to come here for quite a while and now they can finally come," says Pousett.

Pousett says the Council provides each new family with everything listed below, so donations are especially needed as they welcome new families over the next several months.

If you cant donate items, Pousett says you can donate your time.

"The moving day is really busy, as most people know, so if we don't have volunteers to help with the move, it just ends up being the staff here to help," says Pousett.

"I am looking for people who have trucks who would be willing to help move and just some extra-human strength."
