Saskatchewan’s largest and longest running Gaming Expo is returning to Moose Jaw July 13-15th

The event has been going since 2010, and this year's event will feature all aspects of gaming including computers, classic and modern consoles, board games, and cards.

Kristian Sjoberg is one of the MJGA Communication Assistants:

"It is everything game-oriented and nerd culture really. We've got board games, we've got people playing Dungeons and Dragons, we've got video games, console games - basically if it has the word 'game' in it, we're inviting people to come down and try it out. We've also got a tournament coming again this year."

The Gaming Expo is meant for casual and competitive gamers and for anyone who is looking to give gaming a shot but isn't sure how to get involved.

"It's going to be the July 13-15 weekend which so happens to fall on Craven. We're going to be the counterpoint to Craven - that Craven is loud, party. We are the exact opposite of that, we are low key, easy going, air conditioned building."

And for anyone who is interested in cosplaying, there will be a special guest in attendance.

"We've got a gentleman who is working on his master levels in costume design, which is basically getting to the level where you see those guys on TV creating these full on costumes for cosplay. He is bringing one of his costumes which is a full suit of armour with a hammer - it is gorgeous."

The MJGA is a not-for-profit organization and donates part of the proceeds to Hunger In Moose Jaw, Moose Jaw Paediatric Ward, Children’s Wish Foundation, and the Saskatchewan Paediatric Auditory Rehab Centre, to name a few.

This year’s Gaming Expo will be hosted at the St. Joseph’s Church Basement Hall
