A group of friends has made it their mission to make the graduates of 2021 feel special.

Kara Fisher, Jaida Auger, and Cassidy Olsen started the 'Moose Jaw Dress Drive' to collect formal wear to donate to different high schools in Moose Jaw.

These dresses and suits would be made available to graduates who might not have a special outfit to wear on the big day.

The group spent the weekend picking up the dresses, organizing the formal wear and accepting drop-offs.

Fisher said the friends didn't expect such an amazing reaction, and the outreach from the community has been amazing.

'There are so many people willing to donate their stuff, and lots of people who donated gave multiple pieces," says Fisher.

"We would go to some houses, and they would have four dresses for us and shoes. Some people had a couple of suits, it was a good turnout."

The most needed items are suit jackets, dress shirts and belts.

"Last time we counted we had about 30 dresses, we are so excited," says Fisher.

The group will be donating the formal wear to Vanier Collegiate, Peacock Collegiate and Central Collegiate.

Fisher says they will continue collecting all types of formal wear for the next week.

"Graduating high school is a really big accomplishment, and we just felt like everyone deserves to look good and feel good for the day," says Fisher.
