Moose Jaw and surrounding areas were put under a winter storm watch by Environment Canada Thursday morning.

A large area of moderate to heavy snow will be developing over southern Saskatchewan Friday, and will linger through Saturday bringing with it 10-20 cm of snow. The wind will also be gusting from the east up to 40 km/h, limiting visibility.

Currently the watch spreads from the west to east provincial border, from Moose Jaw north to Prince Albert. 

Highways are already a bit slick this morning as well after Wednesday night's dusting of snow, but they should improve as the day goes on
