Moose Jaw Pride has had to make some changes over the last week, cancelling events, festivities, and even closing their thrift shop.

The shop is closed for the time being and they will not be accepting any donations for the foreseeable future. These changes have been made in response to the ongoing pandemic.

Executive Director of MJ Pride has also said their events for the upcoming Pride Week in May has been postponed.

"Moose Jaw Pride, the board of directors and community partners have made the difficult decision, but I think the appropriate one, to postpone those activities."

The theme for 2020 Pride was 'You Belong Here', and MJ Pride had 8 days' worth of activities planned aimed at giving local organizations and service providers opportunities to demonstrate all the ways in which the LGBTQ community does belong in Moose Jaw.

While Pride Week has been postponed, and they were also unable to celebrate Gender Diversity Week between March 22-28, the not for profit organization is still operating and is providing opportunities for connection and support from a tax clinic, as well as online communication, entertainment, and mental health support.
