The City of Moose Jaw has opened nominations for the Heritage Advisory Committee’s 2018 Heritage Awards.

According to the City, the awards celebrate individuals who, and businesses that, celebrate and preserve the city’s heritage through various projects.

The Heritage Advisory Committee is comprised of one member of City Council, one member from the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce, and four citizens-at-large.

City of Moose Jaw Communications Manager, Craig Hemingway, said, "We appreciate the passion of those on the committee, and anyone in the city who's working to preserve the heritage of their building or their residence. We're a city with a tremendously rich history, and we really appreciate our residents finding ways to tell those stories by the work they do to their properties."

Nomination forms can be found on the City’s website or at City Hall. The deadline for nominations is December 17th.

The awards will be handed out early in the New Year.
