The Exhibition grounds will be taken over by some of our four-legged friends, only these animals are miniature.

Miniature horses which stand at no taller than 34-38 inches are coming to Moose Jaw for the weekend according to Jodie Beler Spokesperson for the event. She discussed that these horses, along with their handlers are coming from all over Canada.

"We have got miniature horses in from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC, we have about 43 horsed entered in the show.  We have a halter class that take into consideration the horses conformation gate, overall body structure, we have driving classes as well and with the confirmation, the driving gates that type of thing. Everything is judged it's almost like an Arabian show in Miniature form."

This certainly is not the first time an event like this has come to the friendly city, but it is certainly the first time in a while.

"We have the Saskatchewan Miniature Horse Club in having their Miniature Horse show for the AMHR, AMHA registry. The AMHR is Saturday and the and the AMHA is Sunday the shows start at 8:30 am each morning."

Beler also outlined the different associations and when that specific show will be taking place this weekend.

The shows are free to attend and make for a great way to spend your weekend seeing an extremely unique animal.
