Moose Jaw's Mayor is offering a big welcome to our city's newest residents.  Syrians arrived in Saskatchewan on Monday as part of the national refugee program and will now call the Friendly City Home.

Deb Higgins wants the two families to know that Moose Jaw celebrates multiculturalism and is calling on all residents to make our new neighbours feel at home.

"I think this is a very nice way to start off the New Year, by welcoming some new residents. Really, I think it'll be putting into play our moniker as the Friendly City. I think the new Canadians will see that front and centre."

Higgins is very pleased to have Moose Jaw as a relocation city for the refugee program.
