The battle for the “Tallest Moose” title continues as Norway has released their own song named “Moose Truce” shortly after a Moose Jaws song “Mac the Moose” was released.

Vimarida and Ganic from Norway composed “Moose Truce” with good old fashioned humour in mind, stating they love Canada.

It’s safe to say that with more than $37,000 donated already, and a final goal of $50,000, Mac the Moose will no doubt be getting much taller in the future.

Mayor Fraser Tolmie said, “right now we've been in conversation with the Deputy Mayor Linda Henrikson who does want to come over to the City of Moose Jaw and so obviously invite her over, we would like very much for the community to welcome her with open arms. We're going to obviously kinda plan out an agenda and see what her time schedule is and what fits with us so very excited and I believe that the citizens of Moose Jaw will welcome her with open arms.”

He also added that he’s excited to formally introduce Henrikson to Mac and show her around Moose Jaw.

Mayor Tolmie doesn’t intend on backing down, however, as he said “No way Norway” in response to the song that was released from Norway.

We'll have more on this story later.
