It was the worst storm of the summer for Moose Jaw and the clean up is going to likely last into the long weekend.

Heavy rain and high winds combined to toppled trees, push over fences and even tossed a power pole.  We've record 90mm of rain here at the radio station on the north side of the city but with it falling sideways at times, it's hard to say exactly how much we actually received.

The saturated ground loosened up the roots of trees enough to allow the 90km winds to push over trees that were several feet in diameter with one falling onto a garage and others crushing fences.

Power outages were wide spread but many of them were short lived due to bouncing power lines. The biggest outage had customers without juice for most of the afternoon.  There was also a power pole that was knocked over at the corner of 7th and Coteau.
