The city of Moose Jaw’s building report showed a stronger March this year over last.

There was almost $2.8 million in 12 building permits for new construction and renovations in the city of Moose Jaw, including $2,570,000 in commercial building and $222,220 in one new construction – the Habitat For Humanity home on Ominica Street West – and several alterations and improvements to residential properties.

Last year, there was $1,549,400 combined in eight building permits during the month.

The year to date figures also show an increase in the valuation over last year. At the end of March, 2018, there was $3.81 million in 29 building permits where this year’s number is $6.591,725 million in 36 permits.
