The Moose Jaw Police Service has provided a tragic update from last week's fire. 

On Tuesday, a little over a week after the blaze, officers say the man that was taken to hospital has died. 

34-year-old Benjamin Plant died as a result of the fire and passed away on February 5th. 

Shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday, February 4th, Moose Jaw Police, Fire Department and local Paramedics were on the scene at a townhouse complex on the 300 block of Ross Street West. The fire was contained to the one complex and investigators estimated around $75,000 in damage.

Officials do not consider the fire suspicious at this time but did note that they will continue to investigate.
