After an investigation by Rosthern RCMP, a man from Waldheim is facing a number of charges stemming from a number of reported sexual assaults at a care facility in Hepburn.

The incidents were reported to police on April 19th, and are alleged to have occurred between 1992 and 2009. Police stated five adult residents of the facility were sexually assaulted by a male staff member, who has not worked at the facility since 2009.

Tuesday, police arrested 52-year-old Brent Gabona. He has been charged with five counts of sexual assault, and three counts of sexual exploitation of a person with a disability. He made a court appearance in Saskatoon Friday.
