It's Tim Hortons Camp Day today, which means that all proceeds from the sales of hot coffee and iced coffee will be donated to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

In addition to providing a week of fun for underprivileged youth, the program also helps teach leadership and teamwork skills.

Local Grade 11 student Seth Franks has had the opportunity to attend two Foundation Camps. He was signed up for the program by his Big Brother mentor. His favourite part of the camp was getting to go whitewater rafting and horseback riding. He also says he grew a lot as a person.

"There are many skills that they teach you: leadership, communication, teamwork. They really help with gaining confidence and learning the skills you need for day-to-day life."

Camp Day has raised over $212 million dollars for kids since it began in 1991.
