A local Grade Ten student who currently attends Peacock Collegiate, Austin Harvey, put the "fun" in a fundraiser on Wednesday, selling Maple Leaf Bakery donuts and completely shaving his head.

Peacock's Cafeteria was packed at noon, watching it all unfold.

Harvey says, "This turned out really really good. Lots of people came, (we) sold lots of donuts and everybody seemed to have a lot of fun."

"We sold about 150 donuts and lots of donations from various sources. We just had an idea that we wanted to do (something) for Telemiracle and this was nice and easy and the guys' are having a blast with it too," explains Mark Gilliland, an educational assistant helping out at Peacock.

Harvey and everyone who supported his fundraiser doubled his original goal of three-hundred dollars, bringing in a little over six-hundred dollars.

All funds raised from the event will be presented at Telemiracle 44 on Sunday afternoon.
