On Tuesday, several members of the Moose Jaw Police Service were honoured for their long-time service to the community.  Deputy Chief Cliff Froehlich, Sgt Scott Williamson, Sgt Randy Jesse, Cpl Bob Heath and Cpl Norm Renwick all received an Exemplary Service Medal from the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield.

The medal is given out to members of the police force who have served the community for over 30 years and Sgt. Jesse has faced his fair share of challenges over the years.

"One of the hardest things is balancing police work with family life." said Jesse. "And dealing with the day to day stress along with working in a community as close knit and as tight as Moose Jaw, it has unique challenges."

Jesse says the desire to work and stay in Moose Jaw helped push him to become an officer in the Friendly City, back in 1987.
