A 16 year veteran as an emergency medical service responder, Nicholas Hennink's song will soon be played live by a U.S. Army orchestra.

"The song was created to support emergency services and the struggles we go through." Hennink detailed the meaning behind the lyrical content, "So the whole idea behind the song was as a tribute to emergency services. I went through my own struggles with PTSD and addiction, and I'm lucky to say that I got out of it. So I wanted to do something with my music, to help other people some way."

He was contacted by the United States military and initially couldn't believe it.

"I got an email a couple months ago from the U.S. Army Department, and I thought it was fake. They asked to use my song 'Warriors', to support their troops in this concert they're doing. It's a concert for post 9-11 troops, this weekend actually." Hennink continued, "I said yeah, if this is what you're going to use it for, then go ahead, use it. And I didn't hear anything back from them, for the longest time I thought it was fake", Hennink explained.

"Then a week ago, all of a sudden, I get this email from Lt. Shaw, really official U.S. Army email saying thank you so much for letting us use this song, here's the links, here's what we're going to use it for. A whole bunch of other details. I looked it up, and this is legitimate, they're really using the song. So it's a blessing, that's pretty cool."

The song "Warriors" was produced locally at Nebulus Entertainment and has been used during home games throughout the season for the local WHL club, the Moose Jaw Warriors.
