In the new era of social distancing and self-isolation, how does the faith community gather to worship?  The answer - online.

Pastor Dan Goddard leads Victory Church in Moose Jaw.  They have been live streaming services for 3 years and posting their service online for the last seven years.  With new public gathering rules in place during the COVID-19 outbreak, online viewer numbers have gone up and having the service online is more important than ever.

"Last weekend we really pushed hard. We had over 400 televisions, computers, or iPhones connecting in," explained Goddard.  "Each of these represents more than one person.   Normally we might have 40 or so devices on our live stream.  We also track what we call our views (total views live and recorded) and currently our views from last week are over 4000."

Goddard said that right now faith is more important than ever.

"We encourage people that faith is stronger than fear, and we don't want to have people living in fear.  We also encourage people that faith and wisdom go hand in hand.  They're not opposed to each other.  We encourage people to walk in wisdom each day and make sure you're being kind and loving and caring towards others. To operate with hope and love and faith.

The service from Victory Church streams every Sunday on YouTube, Facebook, and ChurchOnline.  Search for Victory Moose Jaw to access the services at 9 am and 11 am.
